USO, or Universal Service Obligation, is where mobile telecommunications operator’s in South Africa provide technology to the schools.

If the Schools Data Usage Policy allows; it is possible to connect any USO devices, school owned mobile devices or educators and learner’s personal mobile devices to the broadband network for internet access.
