All educator’s and learners have access to the internet on the WCGSCHOOLS network using their PERSAL number (educators) or CEMIS number (learners). It is highly recommended that schools allow learners the opportunity to become familiar with their WCED credentials and the logon and logoff procedure, even in the instances where schools are using independent internet service providers in parallel with the WCED broadband. These credentials will be valid until matric and will provide access at any educational facility. We are aware of issues, in the younger grades especially, where logging on and off is time consuming and may be frustrating and we are working on a single sign in solution to simplify the process. In primary schools, learners may need numerous periods to become familiar with the process.
